I have worked with Blurb before and as a first point of call, it’s excellent, as it does a lot of the work for you. The issue I ran into in the past was paying for a PDF and then once I’d ordered the book found I wasn’t happy with how it looked. This was as much about my inexperience than an issue with blurb. I’ve since discovered LR Book which creates a PDF for you. It’s less versatile than blurb in some ways but better in others. Once you have the PDF, it can be used in various ways, either for a digital book (which gives you a better idea as to how the finished product works) or to be able to submit to a printing company of your choice. For now, I think I prefer this option.
